FRAUD ALERT - Scam Calls Impersonating Walker & Armstrong

Posted October 15, 2026

We have learned that scammers are impersonating Walker & Armstrong and placing unsolicited phone calls, including from the number 833-377-6491. The callers claim that the recipient is being served for fraud or has not been making loan payments and owes money to our company. The caller threatens arrest, legal action, or other penalties if payment is not made immediately.

These calls are not from Walker & Armstrong. We do not make these calls.

What we will never do:

  • Threaten arrest, jail, or legal action over the phone
  • Demand immediate payment by phone, gift card, wire transfer, cryptocurrency, or payment app
  • Ask for payment through any method other than (describe your official billing methods)
  • Call you without prior notice or a prior business relationship with you

If you receive one of these calls:

  1. Do not make any payment and do not share personal or financial information.
  2. Hang up. Do not press any buttons or call the number back.
  3. Write down details such as the date, time, number shown, and what the caller said.
  4. Report it to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center at ic3.gov. You may also contact your local police or state attorney general's office.
  5. Let us know by calling our office at 520-382-0663 and ask for Katelyn Papritan so we can document the incident and assist law enforcement if necessary.

If you have already made a payment or shared information, contact your bank or card issuer right away to report fraud and ask about reversing the charge. You may also want to place a fraud alert on your credit reports.

If you are unsure whether a communication is really from us, contact us directly at 520-382-0663 and ask for Katelyn Papritan or email her directly at kpapritan@wa-cpas.com.

We apologize for any distress this has caused and thank you for your help in stopping it.
